Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has found Delta variant decoding the genome sequencing of collected samples of admitted COVID-19 patients in the past one month.
"Among the coronavirus positive patients admitted in BSMMU in the past one month, 100 percent are infected by Delta variant," this was formally revealed by BSMMU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed at a press
conference here today.
Referring to the findings of the BSMMU Covid-19 genome sequencing research, he also said that they (BSMMU) detected 20 percent highly contagious Omicron cases, decoding genome sequencing of collected samples from coronavirus patients between December 8, 2021, and January 8, 2022..
