Special TV programme to celebrate Victory Day

"Panchashe Amara", a special programme to celebrate the fiftieth year of the victory, will be telecast on a number of private TV channels on Victory Day, which falls on Thursday this year.

On the occasion of the golden jubilee of the victory a total of 50 singers-- all in their fifties -- took part in the programme.

The ten-minute programme, whose music direction was done by Jamal Uddin Ahmed, featured a patriotic song and some speeches based on the liberation of Bangladesh.  

The programme, organized by GaanAdda and directed by Moinul Alam Rumon, was filmed in several locations including Dhaka, Savar and Manikganj.
