The Bangladesh High Commissioner hailed Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal as a man of many talents who not only excelled in sports but also carved a niche for himself in areas of music, acting, debate and extempore speech.
His academic life from Shaheen School and Dhaka College to the University of Dhaka, his active involvement in liberation war and his married life were also discussed in the presentation.

A documentary made on Shaheed Sheikh Kamal was screened before the guests, followed by the screening of a special video clip from Dr. Sajjadur Rahman, a friend of Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, currently living in Canada and teaching in a university in Canada.

In her closing remarks, the Bangladesh High Commissioner also said the unexpected and sad demise of Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal on 15 August 1975 deprived the nation of the benefits of the inimitable leadership traits of a person full of potential, vigour and humanism.

The programme was attended by members of diplomatic corps, Brunei government officials and Bangladesh community members. The guests also observed one minute silence and prayed for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Fazilatun Nessa Mujib, Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal and other martyrs.
