Blasting the BNP's comments over unstable situation in educational institutions, Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said there were unbridled terrorism and anarchy on the campuses during the BNP's regime.

"The Awami League government has taken 'zero tolerance' policy on the issue. It was the BNP's regime when there were terrorism and
anarchic situation in education sector," he told reporters this evening at his official residence in city's Mintoo Road.

fight between two groups of Chhatra Dal and mid-night occupation of VC office appointed by BNP at Dhaka University.

In fact, the statement of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir regarding terrorism in education sector is applicable for them
(BNP), he said.

About sessions jam, he said, sessions jam have been reduced during the last twelve and a half years while it would take seven to eight
years to complete the four-year course during the regime of BNP.

The minister said the education system of the country has been improved under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The students are future of the nation and the government is more conscious about completion of their study in due time, said Hasan.

He said the automation system in finance sector would keep a pivotal role to move the country ahead during the fourth industrial
revolution.

ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru, FCA, gave the address of welcome while Council Member and Chairman of Review Committee for Published Accounts and Reports (RCPAR) chaired the programme as session chairman.

Md Moniruzzaman, FCA, council member and convenor of RCPAR of ICAB spoke on theme of the event.
