Former Bangladesh Bank (BB) Deputy Governor and noted economist Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled is no more.

Aged 80, he died around 5:15am today at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

Hospital sources said he was first admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital after having tested COVID-19 positive.

Later, he was shifted to BSMMU after his condition had worsened.
