‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ (Sincerely, Your Dhaka), the first anthology film of Bangladesh, is all set to hit the countrywide cinemas today. Produced by Impress Telefilm, the film will be screened at the capital’s Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City shopping complex, Balaka Cineworld, Modhumita and Shamoli Cinema. While outside Dhaka- Siverscreen (Chattogarm), Purobi (Mymensingh), Nihar (Jeshor), Chandrima (Sripur), Borsha (Joydebpur), Momo Inn (Bogura), Shankho (Khulna), Shapla (Rangpur). Rukpotha (Pabna), Modern (Dinajpur) and Bonolata (Faridpur).

In the global cinema industry, the anthology is a very popular and important genre of films. This type of films is usually the combination of several short length feature films.  

A talented group of filmmakers consisted of 11 directors has directed ‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’. The name of the directors includes Golam Kibria Farooki, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Mahmudul Islam, Mir Mukarram Hossain, Nuhash Humayun, Rahat Rahman, Robiul Alam Robi, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Tanim noor and Tanvir Ahsan.

Participated in about 20 international film festivals around the world so far, the film ‘Sincerely, Your Dhaka’ had its international release in 23rd Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) last year.

However, the multiple international award-winning film recently had its Bangladesh premiere at Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City shopping complex on Wednesday evening. Along with directors and cast of the film, prominent cultural personalities and dignitaries of the country were present at the premier show. l
