Loko Natydal, one of the most prominent theatre troupes in the country, will bring its latest theatre production titled ‘Amra Tinjon’ on stage today at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital. Based on the story written by noted poet-writer Buddhadeb Basu with the same title, the play ‘Amra Tinjon’ is planned and directed by Liaquat Ali Lucky.

The story of the play revolves around three friends named Bikash, Asit and Hitangshu. In the year 1927, the trio lived in Purana Paltan of Dhaka. However, fascinated by the charm of her beauty, the trio gives her a name after Mona Lisa while debating over her similarity with the Leonardo da Vinci’s imperishable creation.

One day, the three friends meet Mona Lisa in the street accompanied by her father, Dey Saheb. Mona Lisa’s father asks them to visit their house. Taking the opportunity, now the trio comes to meet Mona Lisa at her house, but can’t speak to her that much the way they expected.
