Two group exhibitions begin at Bengal Shilpalay today

Two group exhibition titled ‘Ajantrik’ and ‘(un)seen’ will begin today at two different halls of Bengal Shilpalay, Dhanmondi in the capital. ‘Ajantrik’ will be displayed at the Subir Choudhury Exhibition Hall, while ‘(un)seen’ will be displayed at Quamrul Hassan Exhibition Hall.

University of Liberal Arts of Bangladesh professor Syed Monjurul Islam and director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky will inaugurate two exhibitions today on the gallery premises.

The exhibition ‘Ajantrik’ seeks to re-read into Ajantrik, to understand it beyond the realm of filmmaking, and explore new directions and inspirations from popular content. Curated by Zihan Karim, Eshita Mitra, Fahim Hasin Sahan, Fame, Hassan Mamun, Kumar Biswas, Munem Wasif, Palash Bhattacharjee and Razib Dutta are participating in the exhibition.

On the other hand, ‘(un)seen’ will feature multiple channel video projections, high resolution photographs, challenging installation works as well as performances. Curated by Mustafa Zaman and Sharmillie Rahman, Abdus Salam, Abir Shome, Emran Sohel, Hadi Uddin, Jewel A Rob, Marzia Farhana, Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Mustafa Zaman, Razib Datta, Sanjid Mahmud, Sherin Akhter, Syed Muhammad Zakir and Yasmin Jahan Nupur are participating in the exhibition.

Both of the exhibition will remain open to all every day from 12pm to 8pm until August 3.
