Speaker condoles ex-MP Sudipta�s death

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury expressed profound shock at the death of Sudipta Dewan, first female JS member from greater Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) region, reports BSS.
In a condolence message, Dr Chaudhury, recalled the contributions to the arena of politics of Sudipta Dewan, who was close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and first woman member of the parliament (MP) from greater CHT region during Sheikh Mujib's regime and former vice-president of Rangamati district unit of Awami League.
She said the country and greater CHT lost a devoted social worker and organiser at the death of the woman leader.
She prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the Dewan's family members.
