Govt officials held while taking bribe

The Anti Corruption Commission on Sunday night arrested a deputy secretary red-handed while he was taking bribe at a fast food restaurant in capital, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Mizanur Rahman, deputy secretary of the Roads and Highways Department. Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjo, deputy director  of the ACC, said that a team of the corruption watchdog led by director Nasim Anwar conducted a drive at the restaurant over a complained by a lease holder Mainuddin Chowdhury and arrested Mizanur while taking TK 50,000 as bribe.
