Chittagong: Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive detained two alleged yaba traders with 3000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Patenga area in Chittagong on Friday night, reports BSS.
The detained were identified as Monjur, 23 and Belal, 29, both hailed from Ramgati union under Lakshmipur district.
A team of Patenga police on secret information detained them with the yaba tablets from 15 Number Ghat area near Chittagong Airport under city's Patenga police station around 9.30pm FRiday night, said Monirul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the police station.
The detainees in primary interrogation confessed that they were waiting there to sell the yaba pills, the SI said adding that a case was filed under narcotics control
act.
