Pakistan Emerging Cricket Team will face off its subcontinent arch-rivals India in the first semi-final of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup Cricket Tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur today.
The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00am.
Pakistan emerged Group-A champions with an all-win record. They crushed Oman by 147 runs to complete their group phase and romped to the semi-final with full six points from three-match road string.
India on the other hand finished their group phase with runners-up having lost to Bangladesh by six wickets in the second match.
However, Group-B champions Bangladesh will lock horns with Afghanistan in the second semi-final of the eight-team tournament at the same ground on Thursday.
Bangladesh cruised into the semifinal with all-win record. The hosts made a flying start thrashing Hong Kong by nine wickets. The home side flattened Nepal by eight wickets before they defeated next-door neighbours India by six wickets at BKSP in Savar.
The final of the tournament will be played between the winners of the semi-final matches at the same venue on Saturday (November 23).
