2 ‘militants’ arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) t arrested two suspected members of militant outfit from Shibrampur Bus stand in the town.

They were identified as Rajib Biswas,25, son of Shahid Biswas of Krishno Nagar union under Sadar Upazaila in Faridpur and Nayeem Sheikh, 24, son Alim Sheikh of Gouripur under Sadar upazila of Rajbari district.

The Rapid Action Battalion men also recovered Jihadi books, knives and bomb making materials from their possession.

Mohiuddin Faruk, SP of Rab-2 said, being informed, we nabbed them from Shibrampur Bus stand around 12 noon.

During interrogation, they have confessed to being members of the militant outfit, he added.
