Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan visited the head office of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) at Segunbagicha in the capital yesterday. Shakib visited the ACC headquarters as the anti-graft body’s Goodwill Ambassador. He entered the office at around 10:00am and stayed there for more than an hour to exchange pleasantries with ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud. He then left the office, ACC Spokesperson Pranav Kumar Bhattacharya told The Independent. Shakib Al Hasan has been working as a goodwill ambassador of the commission since 2018. The Bangladeshi cricket icon visited the ACC headquarters just four days after an International Cricket Council (ICC) sanction was imposed on him for two years. The ICC banned the all-rounder from all sorts of cricketing activities for two years, with one year of that remaining pending, after he had accepted three charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.
