Three held over killing college boy in M’singh

Police detained three youths yesterday for allegedly killing a college student at Gulpukurpar in Mymensingh city on Tuesday night.

However, police did not disclose the names of the detainees for the sake of investigation. Police drives are on to arrest the other accused soon, said Khondaker Shaker Ahmed, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Kotwali Police Station.

The victim identified as Shawon Bhattacharya, 20, son of Subhashish Bhattacharya in Brahmalli area of the city was stabbed to death allegedly by some youths on Tuesday night, said the OC.
