Bangladesh eying positive result in next round

Bangladesh national football team are looking for more after crossing the preliminary round of the World Cup 2022 qualification round when they saw off Laos after a draw in home ground on Tuesday.

Bangladesh football team were on a big challenge to overcome the Laos hurdle just to ensure their presence in the international, specially the FIFA and AFC competitions for next two years.

When their fate were just hanged on the result of the matches against Laos at away and home, if they could not triumph over challenge, Bangladesh would be deprived to play any FIFA and FIFA competitions for next two years.

But Jamie Day’s boys made it success to open all the doors to participate in the international affairs with winning at away and after completing the home match on goalless draw.   

Bangladesh working hard to win at away ground inVientiane, Laos and brightened their chances to trounce the barrier and made it easier to complete the task in home ground.

But in home ground also Bangladesh booters turned it stiff hurdle to break with giving missing trial when the strikers miscued badly from close range and their hit-and-miss night continued with squandering a couple more presentable chances before making the points safe with 0-0.  

However, Bangladesh team captain Jamal Bhuiyan and all of his fellow team-mates knew that it was huge challenges for them and their future of playing international matches (FIFA and AFC).

Some of the players, including the captain expressed their reaction about their belief and also the happiness with making it success the mission.  

Jamal Bhuyan, a Denmark borne Bangladeshi national when talking to media yesterday said, “Today I am very happy, I feel really well as we could have done the job – most of the boys of the team are young, they enjoyed the night.”

“I talked to my parents in Denmark, they are also very happy, they told me, it’s our duty and to be sincere to do the job.”

About the match, Jamal said, “Yes, we did not play good, miscued so many chances, very unlucky not to utilize chances, we will have to work on that. But if we would play good game and did not get result would be meaningless, so result is matter and we did it successfully.”

“Now our target is to win more games and we will have to work more on weak areas,” said Jamal.

Rahmat Meah, one of the members of the squad said, “We knew that we would have no matches next two or three years if we could not cross this obstacle, it was very important for us as well as for our football. Coach guided us and cautious about our duty and all of us tried our best.”

Masud Pervej Kaiser, deputy of head coach Jamie day said, “Actually it is something to be proud, if you can do something good for the country. All credits goes to the boys they did that.”

Jamie Day also happy for having the success when he said, “I was looking at that for last couple of months, we keeping working and believed that we could do.”

“Hopefully days will be changed and we will have to work hard more in coming days, we will have to face bigger challenges.”

“If I am realistic we should not look back, boys need more experiences. Boys will work at clubs for next six weeks, when I will come back, will begin the preparation again,” said Jamie, who will go for leave.
