‘Drug peddler’ held with heroin

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a presumed drug peddler with 1.015-kg of heroin conducting an overnight drive at Hakimpur Tokpara village in sadar upazila of the district.

RAB-5 officials familiar with the drive said acting on secret information, an operation team of elite anti-crime force raided the house of one Md. Abul Hossain in the area at around 3 am on Wednesday and arrested him with the heroin worth about Tk. 1, 01, 50,000.

Later the arrested person was handed over to Chapainawabganj sadar police station and a case was filed in this connection.
