DHAKA, Feb 3:  A three-member representatives from FIFA are coming to Dhaka on February 16 to review the FIFA developments projects. David Borja, the ‘Development Manager Asia’ of FIFA, is the leading the delegation. The other two members are- Shaji Provakoron (Development officer India) and Jean Michel Benezet will visit Bangladesh to observe the progress of the Barisal Tsunami Project (a football training centre and the artificial turf).
Meanwhile, the training centre is under process while BFF has already been acquired the lands from the government, although FIFA has suggested to change some conditions of the contract with the govt and the BFF. The BFF also has completed all the formalities in accordance with the suggestions of the FIFA.
The work of installation of an astroturf  is now at final stage and the BFF is expected that it would be finished by end of March.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will have an EGM before holding the election to be held in April.
The EMG has become very essential to bring some changes or to include some clauses in the constitution.
Abdus Salam Murshedi, the senior vice-president of the BFF, said that they are getti9ng ready to hold the EGM, as there is  a huge confusion with voting power of the DFAs (District Football Association) in the current constitution.
BFF is in a fix to include the voting power of the DFAs, as the previous committee gave an undertaken to FIFA and AFC to arrange the election of the 2012 without the DFAs, though the present committee is very much interested to see the participation of the DFAs in the election.
The president of the previous committee SA Sultan, replying to a letter from the AFC which was given to BFF on March 7, 2008  wanted guarantee from BFF to hold their election without the DFAs (District Football Association) participation.
The then BFF president made a positive reply to AFC on March 21 about the DFAs voting power to AFC and FIFA, but none of the previous committee members did not know about the letter (as some of the members are saying so).  Sultan in his reply to  AFC said, “The executive committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation has unanimously  decided to take a stand as per advice of FIFA and AFC. The then BFF president also assured the world football apex body of  the voting power of divisional sports association axing the voting power of district football associations in the n ext election.
In this regard, the BFF will call an EGM and will seek for the councilors’ opinion about the DFAs’ voting power, as they are expecting that they would be able to convince the AFC and FIFA to get the permission to hold the election with the participation of the DFAs.
