Sept 3:  The current Pakistan playing XI had at least one ICL match-fixer, the former PCB official has come on record saying this. Speaking exclusively to this scribe over his mobile from Lahore, Nadeem Akram, the former PCB Director (HRD), said,  "it is a matter of record that there is at least one player in the Pakistan playing eleven who was allegedly involved in match fixing during the last season of ICL finals and the fact that we have at least one team official with questionable credentials and is in deep financial trouble who had all the reasons to be involved in this".
"If there was actually match fixing or spot fixing the youngsters are not capable of pulling it on their own, there has to be someone from the team officials who facilitated them".
"It is not about bowling a few no balls, there is something more that what meets the eye.
Allowing England to amass a total of over 400 when England was literally on the mat, is in itself dubious, therefore we need to wait till such time that the final report of Scotland Yard and ICC is made public", he added.
Adding further, he says, "The root cause of this problem is the inability of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to effectively handle the match fixing allegations after the Australian tour.
Chairman Ijaz Butt, contrary to what was mandated according to the PCB Constitution, never referred the matter to PCB HR & Disciplinary Committee, which in fact did not exist because Ijaz Butt had disbanded all such Committees out of disdain for the previous regime".
"Ironically, Ijaz Butt was the Chairman of one the Committee, Audit Committee. Instead Ijaz Butt choose to nominate hand picked stool pigeons who reported what was asked of them". "And Ijaz Butt despite being in knowledge of the ICL match fixing thing, appointed the person who had reported it as Chairman Junior Selection Committee and the person reported to as Chief Operating Officer( only to be fired later on)".
"Ijaz Butt, his brother in law (Defence Minister, Ahmad Mukhtiar) and Zardari had been prison mates during Musharraf's time and business partners during last tenure of BB when they made millions on a cotton scandal, which forced the richest man in Pakistan Mian Mansha to flee Pakistan. Mian Mansha settled the old payable to Zardari just after he came into power scandal", Nadeem Akram.
