MUMBAI, Feb. 14 : Gary Kirsten, the coach of the Indian cricket team, has invited the South Africa-born renowned motivational speaker Mike Horn ahead of the World Cup matches.
“Horn has not played the game but has great love for the game”, his wife, Cathy Horn said exclusively from Switzerland. “He may have watched more matches than any of the Indian players and we hope his knowledge about the game would certainly benefit the team to lift the World Cup”, she added.
“Mike Horn ! What a legend. Don’t think anyone can be more inspiring and motivating than you ! The man who made impossible possible !!”, Team India’s Yuvraj Singh said about him. “The impossible exists only until we find a way to make it possible”, Horn’s biography says.
Interestingly, this has not been 44-year-old Horn’s first interaction with Dhonis, Tendulkars’ and Sehwags. He did give pep-talks to the members of Indian cricket team some 12 months ago in Kolkata. “A session with the Mahendra Singh Dhonis in Calcutta, exactly a year ago, I am again with Team India”, he has twitted on his social net-working page.
“Team India’s mental coach Paddy Upton and Mike studied at the same University in South Africa and that is how his name has been recommended to Kirsten”, the wife, Cathy added.
