Shooting of Abu Sayeed’s ‘Dressing Table’ underway

DL DESK

After a long break, talented director Abu Sayeed is making yet another new film titled ‘Dressing Table’. The shooting of the film is currently underway at different locations of Dhaka and Pubail in Savar, which is being produced under the banner of Impress Telefilm. ‘Dressing Table’ is the seventh film of the award-winning director. The story of the film will be evolving around two lead characters named Shila and Ruhul, who got married two years ago. Both of them were brought up in the orphanages. For being a lower-middle-class family and poor financial condition, they are still struggling to arrange the family life according to their expectation. Even there is no dressing table at their home, which is considered to be an essential furniture for a newly married couple. One day, Ruhul purchases an old dressing table for their little family. Though it’s old, Shila becomes very happy to have it. Next morning while cleaning the dressing table, Shila finds an old diary in its drawer. Now the story turns to a different angle.
It’s not right to read someone’s diary, knowing this fact, she leaves the diary. But one night, she starts reading the diary that comes with no name and address. She finds something interesting within first 2/3 pages and spending a sleepless night she completes reading the whole diary. And now after reading the diary, she discovers herself in a new look in front of the mirror of the dressing table. The key casts of the film include Tarin Rahman, AK Azad, Nadia Khanam, KS Feroz, Iffat Trisha, Poresh Acharya, Mohammad Bair and Khalilur Rahman Quaderi, among others.
