Westin Dhaka celebrates Int’l Women’s Day

To celebrate the International Women’s Day yesterday, The Westin Dhaka, for the first time, hosted a special lunch event at Prego celebrating womanhood! At the event, The Westin Dhaka awarded three iconic women for their immense contribution to the society. Around 40 successful women from the Bangladeshi corporate segment were invited to the event.
Farida Ansari, representative of Unique Hotel & Resorts, was present at the event as the chief guest. Sonia Bashir Kabir (Managing Director, Microsoft Bangladesh), Nusrat Jahan Mukta (Additional Deputy Police Commissioner, DMP) and Jahanara Alam (Ex Captain, Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket Team) were recognized as ‘Woman of Inspiration’ and awarded crests by the chief guest. During the event the three iconic women shared stories about their challenges and success in their respective fields.
“On International Women’s Day, we thank all the women out there for putting a great effort to make us and our country proud. We salute and gather immense inspiration from them.
