DL REPORTER
Munia’s dream for big screen comes true

Ever since she was a child, popular actress Munia Islam wanted to become an actress. She achieved that dream as she has so far acted in several commendable projects on the small screen. However, like most artistes who appear on screen, it was also a dream for her to one day act on the big screen. Finally, Munia Islam’s dream was fulfilled, and it was fulfilled in a big way. Not only did she get the chance to work for a film, but it is for a film directed by eminent director Giasuddin Selim, the man behind the award winning film ‘Monpura’.
DhakaLive has news that Munia Islam is currently working in her debut film ‘Swapnajal’, where she is acting in a role named Julekha. Popular actor Iresh Zaker is playing opposite her in the film, whose shooting of the film has begun recently.
Regarding the opportunity of working in the film, Munia Islam said, “Ever since I started my media journey, it was always a dream of mine to one day act in the film. I saw Giasuddin Selim sir’s film ‘Monpura’ several times. Every time I watched it, I was impressed, especially by the stellar performance of Farhana Mili. Watching her performance on screen inspired me to one day act in films. I never imagined that my dream of acting in the film will come true through Giasuddin Selim sir, and that he will be the director of my very first film. I am having a fantastic time.”
Even though Munia Islam recently started working in a bank, she will be appearing in front of the camera on her holidays and despite her career in banking, she has no desire to stop acting.  Munia Islam made her debut through the daily soap ‘Agnipath’ directed by Tonmoy Tansen.
