Mosharraf, Zahid, Tisha in Tauquir’s ‘Halda’

At the banks of Hathhazari’s Halda river in Chittagong, famed actor-director Tauquir Ahmed has directed a star-studded film titled ‘Halda’, based on a story by Azad Bulbul. By ‘star studded’, it features award winning actors such as Mosharraf Karim, Zahid Hasan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Momena Chowdhury, Shahed Ali, among others. DhakaLive has news that the shooting began from September 26 and will continue on until the first week of the current month.
Regarding directing the film, Tauquir Ahmed said, “The theme with which I am basing the film, it is quite an arduous task. Shooting by the river is a difficult task. Even though the weather was not always on our side, we managed to do the work properly so far. The artistes also did the work with full effort and enthusiasm. After ‘Oggatonama’, I believe that ‘Halda’ is my new challenge.”
Zahid Hasan said, “It is irrefutable that Tauquir Ahmed is an extraordinary director. Making a film requires a larger unit and more work. Tauquir Ahmed did the work with a cool head. My role in the film is also quite challenging. I am very satisfied after working in it.”
Mosharraf Karim said, “Tauquir Ahmed always adds new dimensions to his work. He is always prepared for the task and that is why he does all the work in an extremely organised manner. That is why the end result is always great as far as his work is concerned. He puts in a lot of hard work, dedication and can be described as a perfectionist director.”
Tisha shared her thoughts, “The story of ‘Halda’ is fantastic story, directed by a fantastic director with an extraordinary cast. Those facts show that the work will turn out great. That is why I am very hopeful about the film.”
Tauquir Ahmed informed that although it was difficult to shoot with the presence of thousands and thousands of local onlookers, with their cooperation, he still managed to shoot properly. Even though Mosharraf Karim has worked under the direction of Tauquir Ahmed for a film, this is the first time that Zahid Hasan and Tisha have worked under his direction for a film. This is also the first time that Zahid Hasan and Tisha have acted together for a film.
