Pori Moni revealed as new heroine for Jazz

After the likes of Nusraat Faria, Mahiya Mahi and Jolly, Jazz Multimedia have now welcomed audience-admired actress Pori Moni into their family. After a lot of buzz surrounding their new film, Jazz Multimedia finally announced that Pori Moni and newbie Rohan have been selected for the film ‘Rokto’, directed by Malek Afsari. The announcement came through a ‘muharat’ for the film which was held on Thursday at the capital’s Le Méridien Dhaka. Chairman of Jazz Multimedia Abdul Aziz alon with several personalities from the film industry were present at the occasion. The story of the film has been penned down by Abdullah Zahir Babu and Pele Bhattyacharya, while Akash and Sabhi are in music direction. Abdul Aziz said, “We have selected Pori Moni after giving a lot of thought behind it. She will be playing an adventurous role, who will be fighting to rescue her brother from the enemies.”
Pori Moni also shared her thoughts, “I am in a great mood as this is an action movie. I will try my very best to present something special to the viewers.”
Director Malek Afsari said, “ I am happy that Jazz Multimedia is by my side. The title of the film ‘Rokto’ does not indicate blood, rather it indicates relationship and bond. I hope the viewers admire and appreciate the work.”
‘Rokto’ will be jointly produced by Jazz Multimedia and Kolkata’s Eskay Movies.
To note, the shooting of ‘Rokto’ will take place in various locations in Bangladesh, India and Thailand and will begin from May 10. l
