‘Megher Onek Rong’ to be screened today

National Award-winning film titled ‘Megher Onek Rong’ directed by Harunur Rashid, based on Bangladesh’s Liberation War will be screened today at 4pm as a part of the 15-day event titled ‘Bangladesh Film Festival 2015’ at the National Art Plaza of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Segun Bagicha in the city. The story of the film portraits rape scenes during the Liberation War and committing suicide of the victims. It also shows the adopting of war children by the new mothers after the death of children’s own mothers as many of them committed suicide.  The cast of the film includes Master Adnan, Mathin and Omor Elahi, among others. To note, the film received the National Film Award in five categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Child Artiste, Best Music Director, and Best Cinematography.
