Shakib to donate testing kits
to hospitals, clinics

Iconic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan announced he will donate the testing kits of the lethal coronavirus, worth Tk 20 lakh, to different recognised hospital and health clinics across the country through its newly-formed foundation.

Shakib made the announcement of donating authentic testing kits on his verified facebook page on Thursday night. Currently he is in self-quarantine in a USA hotel.

Shakib claimed that he made a fund of TK 20 lakh, where Confidence Group has lent their helping hands to his foundation ‘The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation’ in his new war against the COVID-19 virus that triggered its devastation across the world.

He said the Confidence Group is looking forward to partnering up with the Shakib Al Hasan Foundation to fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh.

“I am extremely proud to announce that Confidence Group has teamed up with SAH Foundation to match funds totalling BDT 20 lakhs and purchase authentic testing kits to be supplied to recognised hospitals and medical institutions,” Shakib Al Hasan wrote on his facebook page.

“I look forward to collaborating with Confidence Group even more to make a difference in everyone’s lives,” he also wrote in his post, uploading a poster of saluting Shakib with the announcement of their partnering with Confidence Group.

The deadly coronavirus triggered a pandemic not only in Bangladesh but also in the world.

Shakib launched a campaign of ‘Mission Save Bangladesh’ through making an announcement of his own foundation on March 28. Shakib said through this campaign he managed an amount of Tk 38, 64, 579 so far. This amount would enable to help 2500 families back in home. The premier cricketer of the country launched his ‘Shakib Foundation” after 27 national level cricketers in Dhaka announced raising a fund of Tk 30.15 in aid of the coronavirus people of the company.
