‘Gondi’ gets uncut censor certificate

The much-talked about film ‘Gondi’ directed by Fakhrul Arefin Khan has received the uncut censor certificate from Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB).

With receiving green signal from the Censor Board, the director of the film said that it has obtained an uncut censor certificate on Thursday.

He said, “Everyone is delighted to receive the censorship certificate. Recently, the censor board members were very appreciative after watching the movie and gave the uncut censor certificate. We received the censor board’s clearance certificate on 16th January in the afternoon. So now, there is no longer any obstacle to the film’s release process.”

Director Fakhrul Arefin Khan added, “Audiences are eagerly waiting to see the film since the film’s shooting started. So, viewers don’t have to wait too long for this film. We hope that this film will be released in coming February.”

‘Gondi’ is the second film venture of Fakhrul Arefin Khan, who is best known for the film ‘Bhuban Majhi’.

Scheduled to release in the beginning of February, the film has been shot in different places of Dhaka, Cox’s Bazar and London.

The story of this romantic-comedy film ‘Gondi’ revolves around a man and a woman aged 55 and 65 years respectively.

The main two characters of this film have been portrayed by Noted Indian actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty of West Bengal and seasoned Bangladeshi actress Suborna Mustafa from Bangladesh.

Other casts of the film ‘Gondi’ include Subhasish Bhowmick, Majnun Mizan, Aparna Ghosh, Aman Reza, Payal Mukherjee from West Bengal and many others.
