Putul to perform in two Victory Day shows

DL REPORTER, Dhaka
Putul to perform in two Victory Day shows

Audience-admired popular singer Putul will be seen performing patriotic songs in two TV shows on Bangladesh Television (BTV) on the occasion of upcoming Victory Day.

DhakaLive has news that the singer recently participated in the recording of the show titled ‘Hridi Kallol’ anchored by Timir Nandi. Putul recorded two popular songs titled ‘Eina Bangladesh-er Gaan’ from Swadhin Bangla Betar by Bipul Bhattacharya and ‘Jessore Road’ by Moushumi Bhowmik. The show will be aired on December 23.

On the other hand, the recording of another special show, based on patriotic songs with various segments, is set to take place today in BTV. Produced by Mahbuba Ferdous, the show is scheduled to be aired on Victory Day on December 16.

Putul, who always feel comfortable with the rendition of patriotic songs, said, “I always feel a unique sense of pleasure to sing patriotic songs. It’s my good fortune that I have already lent my vocal to a number of original patriotic songs. I have been admired for these songs and I am grateful to everyone related to these beautiful songs.”

“Nowadays, the Liberation War is being mentioned less than before in the patriotic songs. I think we should not forget about our roots, and incorporate this glorious event to the songs widely. So that the future generation could listen to these songs and learn about our historic past”, Putul added further.
