When it’s just a day left to end date of the inter-club players’ transfer registration for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football, the arena of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) turned into a place of gala ceremony when champions Bashundhara Kings, Mohammedan Sporting Club and newly promoted Bangladesh Police Club came with colourful rally.

The Motijheel Club area, which was silent and the atmosphere was very gloomy due to casino incident for last few weeks (since September 18) when some of the club officials were accused with their engagement with casino deal.

But the scenario looked a radical changed yesterday of the area when the officials, players, supporters of the clubs came with festive mood when they dancing with the tune of band music wearing their club jersey, riding on horse carts.

Three clubs, Mohammedan, Bashundhara Kings and Police SC came with big rally and with enthusiastic mood followed by numbers of supporters.

However, officials of the Mohammedan Sporting Club looking forward to appear with their own strength  after a casino disaster some of the former stars and organisers took the responsibility to reform the club ahead of the coming season.

Mohammedan Sporting Club, who have been going through a difficult time for a long, even last few seasons they also saw relegation threat, officials have got together to get rid of all the bad time.

Mustaqur Rahman one of the officials, Rummon bin Wali Sabbir, Imtiaz Ahmed Nakib addressed after submitting their 35-mem players’ list including five foreigner booters.    

Mustaqur Rahman said, “Mohammedan will try to bring back their reputation, the tradition of Mohammedan can never let to be destroyed, I believe Mohammedan will bounce back.”

Nakib, who will do the duty as manager, said, “Actually we had very short time to organize the team and formed a squad with a bunch of young booters accompanied by five foreign booters.”

Bashundhara Kings, who came with most colorful rally accompanied by more than 500 of supporters submitted their list of 35-member players including five foreign players with two newly registered from Finland and Argentina.

Police SC, came led by its president Benzir Ahmed, DG of RAB, SK Maruf Hasan, Rector Staff College (team manager) ad Sheikh Rezaul Hyder, additional DIG CID (general secretary) accompanied by their foreign coach Nikola Vitorovic of Serbia.

Meanwhile Sheikh Russel KC and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club have also completed their registration formalities yesterday.
