Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen yesterday called for joint efforts with required resource mobilisation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Highlighting historical background of SDGs, he said Bangladesh played a significant role in setting the new set of global goals.
The Foreign Minister was addressing a seminar titled ‘Implementation of SDGs in Bangladesh: Current Status and Future Prospects’ held at the Media Bazaar of Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city.
Additional Secretary (SDGs) at Prime Minister’s Office M Mokammel Hossain presented a paper at the seminar chaired by Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad.
Economic Relations Division Additional Secretary Sultana Afroz and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) professional fellow Dr M Asaduzzaman also spoke there.
