BRB Cable Industries Limited has become the title sponsor for the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 Tournament 2015.The third  edition of the BPL is scheduled to kick-start from November 22 with the participation of the six franchisee teams including Dhaka Dynamites, Comilla Victorians, Barisal Bulls, Rangpur Riders, Chittagong Vikings and Sylhet Super Stars.
BCB media committee chairman Jalal Younus stated this at a press conference at the Westin Hotel in the capital yesterday. “I, on behalf of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), thank to BRB Cable for sponsoring in BPL-3. The first match of the BPL will roll onto the ground from November 22 following the opening ceremony of November 20. The countdown for the Twenty20 tournament will start from tomorrow,” said Jalal Younus.
“It was very challenging to stage the third edition after a two-year hiatus. Keeping behind all the tribulations, we are going to arrange the tournament. Hopefully it will be more exciting tournament than the previous occasions,” Younus also said in his welcome speech.  After Destiny and Prime Bank, BRB Cable became the third company, who came forward to sponsoring in the new-look BPL. Destiny was the title sponsor for the maiden version, while Prime Bank for the second edition of the Twenty20 tournament.
 “Bangladesh team achieved the most success this year. We have come and saturate with cricket from the social responsibility so that we can help to move forward it further. We have assured with the format of the league alongside the conviviality of the board directors. Hopefully local fans will be enthralled by the new features of the tournament,” Mizbar Rahman, director of BRB Group, told this in his reaction. The logo of the BPL was also unveiled at the fag end of the programme. Matra Advertising Agency Bangladesh and Ardent (marketing and communication Ltd) worked behind the current logo. Sanaul Arefin, director of Matra was also present.
