A large number of people came to the Kuakata tourist spot to enjoy the Eid vacation. They watched sunrise and sunset as well as bathe in the sea. The Patuakhali district administration and law enforcement agencies made elaborate security arrangements in the area. Thousands of local and foreign tourists gathered at Kuakata with their families. The sea beach was alive with the sound of children playing.

Ahsanul Haque Rony, who came from Thakurgaon, said: "The natural beauty and accommodation and other facilities at the Kuakata tourist spot draw thousands. All want to get away from the drudgery of city life. No one misses watching sunrise and sunset. Kuakata is the most attractive sea beach of Bangladesh. It is more calm and virgin than the beach at Cox’s Bazar. It is the only beach in Bangladesh from where one can watch both sunrise and sunset."

Mizanur Rahman Bulet, president of the Kuakata Press Club, said: "Kuakata has incomparable natural beauty. The picnic spots, the long sea beach, tamarind garden, coconut garden, eco-park, fishermen's villages are always ready for tourists. This year, a large number of tourists came to Kuakata to enjoy the Eid vacation."

Mainul Haque, superintendent of police in Patuakhali, said: "I instructed the Kuakata tourist police unit, Kalapara PS, Mahipur PS and Kuakata naval police outpost to ensure security for tourists."
