People prefer to live in Uttara, says bproperty research

A research of bproperty, one of the largest real estate marketplaces in Bangladesh, showed that most of the people in the capital prefer to live or invest in Uttara, a press statement said. The research showed that 24 per cent of the respondents like to live in Uttara following the Mirpur of 20 per cent. After that, Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi and Bashundhara get priority to the city dweller which is 14 per cent, 11 per cent, and 10 per cent respectively.

Bproperty has created a nifty little infographic on property demand in Dhaka based on its data and analysis. The research was driven based on interactions at bproperty.com over the 6 months during October 2018 to March 2019.

The research also showd most of the respondents want 1500 sq. ft. More than half of all the requests bproperty receives are for flats around 1,500 sq. ft. which is 53.66 per cent, 27 per cent prefers 1000 sq. ft. flats. Flats size of 2000 and 2000+ sq. ft are chosen by 15 per cent and 4 per cent respectively, the statement added.

The research also found that 74 per cent of the total requests were for 3 bedrooms apartments. Some 15 per cent of the

respondents requested for 2 bedrooms and 0.5 per cent of people wants to live in one bedroom.
