Kona again judge in reality show ‘Campus Star’

With an aim to discover talented youngsters in music, dance and acting, like the last year, new season of a reality show titled ‘Campus Star’ by RTV is set to kick off soon. Once again, popular singer Dilshad Nahar Kona, who was a judge in the last season, will be seen playing the role of judge in the upcoming season as well.

Confirming the news herself, Kona said, “Last year, I worked as a judge in the ‘Campus Star’. I am going to do the same this year. I am hopeful that it would be more entertaining than the previous year, and we will be able to discover more new talents in this season.”

On the other hand, Kona’s new cover song ‘Shokhi Piya’, a traditional Indian folk song of Assam, has been gaining audience’s admiration both from home and India after the release of its music video on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

With Pavel on the flute, the new music arrangement for the song is done by Amzad Hossain while the music video is made by Abid Hasan.

Regarding ‘Shokhi Piya’, the singer said, “I have rendered various types of song, but never have I ever rendered an Assamese song. It is a popular traditional song and I also like it very much. Due to this, I lent my vocal to the cover song. The positive feedbacks I have received for the song amazed me.”

However, another song titled ‘Kotha Dilam’, Kona’s recent collaboration with singer Imran Mahmudul, was released on the YouTube channel of Druba Music Station recently. The  song, which was used in Mabrur Rashid Bannah-directed tele-drama ‘Angule Angule’ during last Eid, has also been admired by the audience.
