Body recovered in Noakhali

Police yesterday recovered the body of a farmer from Srinagar village in  Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Amin, 55.

Anwarul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chatkhil Police Station said two people were arrested in this connection. The arrestees were Jasim uddin and Rubel Hossain. The dead body was sent to Noakhali General Hospital for autopsy.

Quoting local people police told The Independent that Nurul Amin went out of his house for prayers on Monday night around 8:30pm. But he remained missing since then.

Later, locals found his body in a betel nut garden nearby his house. On information police recovered the body. Police primarily assumed that on his way home criminals might have killed him over land dispute.
