DIPLOMATIC CORRESPONDENT, Dhaka

Foreign ministry yesterday said it would make all arrangements for the heads of state and government, ministers, lawmakers and diplomats of other countries for the visit of the ‘Genocide Corner’ which has been opened at the historical building Shugandha in the capital.

Besides, ministry will also make arrangement for signing the visitor’s book, a press release said yesterday. In addition, students from different educational institutions across the country under the permission of the authority will have the opportunity to visit the ‘genocide corner’ to know more about genocide.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said, “The genocide corner has been set up for the first time in the history of the 48 years of independence by commemorating the martyrs who were the victims of genocide. It’s an effort to preserve the historical inheritance of the Liberation War along with remembering the 3 million people who were the victims of mass killing in 1971.”
