Holders Bangladesh Police will look to retain the title of National Baseball Championship once again as they face off against previous edition’s runners- up Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force in the final at Paltan ground today.

Organised by Baseball-Softball Association, the three days long national championship is sponsored by Walton.

Previously in the first semi-final, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force thrashed USCD Gazipur by 19-04 points where Ansar’s Sabuj Munshi, Foyez and Sabbir scored three points and Nazmul, Rafit, Salman and Arafat scored two points each.

In the second semi-final, Bangladesh Police secured their final’s berth by defeating Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation BJMC 04-00 points. Jahid, Mridul, Shahin and Hakim provided the points for Police.

In the third place deciding match, new entrants BJMC and USCD fought where BJMC emerged as the winner. BJMC completely dominated the match and picked up victory by 13-03 points.

In this year's Walton 6th National Baseball Competition, eight teams took part divided into two groups.
