Partial building collapse at KMC kills one

A day labourer was killed and four others injured when a portion of an under-construction building of Kushtia Medical College and Hospital collapsed in the district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Bazlu 55 of village Charaicol under Kumarkhali upazilla. According to witness the construction work of 22-feet high building was going on at hospital in the afternoon. The construction materials collapsed from 22-feet high suddenly due to low quality of materials according to witness. Hearing hue and cry the people of the area rushed to the spot and rescued the labourers with collaboration fire unit. Ill-fated day labourer Bazlu was found dead while four others were taken to Kushtia General Hospital in critical condition. The deputy commissioner Md Aslam Hossain and supernatant of police SM Tanvir Arafat visited the area.
