Four killed in road crashes

Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail and Noakhali. Two persons were killed and 25 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Bangra in Kalihati on Tangail-Mymensingh highway yesterday. Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. OC of Kalihati Police Station Meer Mosharof Hossen said the accident took the place when a Tangail-bound bus of Prantik Paribahan from Mymensingh plunged into the ditch while trying to make space for a speeding truck leaving two passengers dead on the spot and 25 others injured at about 1:30pm.

The injured were admitted to Kalihati upazila health complex and Tangail General Hospital. Among them, conditions of eight were stated to be critical. Our Noakhali correspondent adds: Two people were killed and 15 others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Choumuhoni-Feni road at Jamidarhat Boropul area on Wednesday night. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
