DU ‘Cha’ unit admission test result published

The first year honours admission test results of ‘Cha unit’ of Dhaka University (DU) under its Fine arts faculty for 2018-19 academic session have been published on Monday with 19.45 per cent pass rate. DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman announced the results at the central admission office at the administrative building of the university at 1pm. A total of 269 students (19.45%) passed the written examination held at 22 September among the 1,383 admission seekers, the VC said. The MCQ test of this unit was held on the 17th September. The results can be viewed from the university website (www.admission.eis.du.ac.bd) or via short message service (SMS) on any mobile operator service.

Freshers’ reception held

A freshers reception and annual prize giving ceremony and cultural programme was held at Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College on Saturday, says a press release. Founder and chairman of the college governing body Ven Prajnananda Mahathera presided over the programme. Popular writer and Renowned Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest. Education adviser in this college Prof Ashraf Ali was present in the ceremony as special guest. Rector of the Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College  Sajal Chandra Sarkar delivered the welcome speech and Principal Sudip Kumar Mandal delivered the speech. Departmental heads, teachers and a large number of students, guardians attended the colorful arrangements. Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal distributed crests and prizes among the winners in the prize giving ceremony phase. At the end of the ceremony a cultural function was organised by the Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College students.
