Olympic Day Run in capital Friday

Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) will organise the Olympic Day Run in a befitting manner with following the International Olympic Committee (IOC) theme – Move, Learn and Discover tomorrow.

All over the world the Olympic Day has been observed complying with the IOC direction with organizing different programmes and BOA also has been observing the day under the guidance of the IOC.

Under the management of the BOA in all seven divisional headquarters including the capital Dhaka will observe the day with organising different programmes with starting the run from early morning.

The day’s programmes will begin with the Olympic Day Run  start at 7am from the National Tennis Complex, Ramna and will terminated at the Bangabandhu National Stadium with the participation of sports personalities, journalists, children, students, sports organisations and the people of different quarters. Similar types of rally will also be organised at seven divisional headquarters at same time.

Sponsored by Square Toiletries Limited, Saif Powertec, Trust Bank Limited, Runner Motor’s Limited, Index Group and Walton Group, the State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will present as chief guest in the opening ceremony while General (retd) Abu Belal Mohammed Shafiul Haque, president of he BOA will preside over the opening ceremony and Syed Shahed Reza, Secretary General of the BOA will also attend the programme as special guest.

Syed Shahed Reza and the BOA deputy secretary generals Ashiqur Rahman Miku and Asaduzzaman Kohinoor detailed all in a press conference yesterday at the Dutch Bangla Bank Auditorium of the BOA.
