‘Linaptin’ registered and launched by GPL in srilankan pharma market

In the SAARC region, Srilanka has tremendous potentiality for exporting of pharmaceutical finished products from Bangladesh. In this regard General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (GPL) had registered & launched its LINAGLIPTIN brand “LINAPTIN” on 18th February, 2018 for the 1st time in Srilankan Pharma market. “LINAPTIN” is also bioequivalent to the research brand. The launching program was held at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, Srilanka.

The renowned doctors (Endocrinologists, Nephrologists and Physicians) from all provinces of Srilanka had participated at this successful launch program. From General Pharma, Dr. Momenul Haq, Managing Director, Dr. Sarah Momen, Director, Dr. Ziad Rahman, Manager Global Marketing and Mahmudul Haque, Deputy Manager, Global Marketing participated.

Dr. Moemnul Haq, Managing Director of General Pharma, in his welcome speech highlighted Bangladesh Pharma Industry’s success and also elaborated General Pharma’s vision in regards to bringing new products for Sri Lanka. He thanked all the relevant authorities, companies for ensuring launching of Linaptin first time in Sri Lanka. Dr. Ziad Rahman presented company profile ta the attending doctors.

GPL started exporting pharmaceutical finished products in Srilanka market from 2007 onwards. So far, GPL has 27 registered products in this market and more number of products are under registration stage.

GPL is exporting of its pharmaceutical finished formulations to 26 countries along with Sri Lanka. The countries are Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Myanmar, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Jamaica. Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Tchad, Afghansitan, Macau, Somalia, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Libya, Yemen, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritius, Maldives, Belize & Guatemala. Another 14 countries are under development stage.
