‘Ekti Cinemar Galpo’ to hit cinemas on Pahela Baishakh

After a long hiatus of 31 years, National Film Award-winning actress Champa will be seen acting under the direction of veteran actor and director Alamgir. She will also be seen acting opposite Alamgir in his upcoming directorial venture ‘Ekti Cinemar Galpo’. On the occasion of Pahela Baishakh, the film is going to hit the cinemas on April 13.

New generation’s actor Arifin Shuvo and acclaimed Indian actress Rituparna have paired up in the film. Besides, Syed Hasan Imam, Sadek Bachchu, Saberi Alam and Wahida Mollick Jolly, among others, have acted in the different characters of the film.

Champa and Alamgir had paired up for the last time in the Alamgir’s directorial film ‘Nishpap’ that was released in 1986. It was the first venture for Champa as a single heroine in a film.

Alamgir said about Champa, “Champa is a very serious actress. She still tries her best to make her acting beautiful as well as her dedication and devotion towards acting is unique. She has portrayed her character brilliantly. I have made my best effort to create a good film for the audience with interstitial and I’m optimistic about the film to do well.”

Champa said about the actor-director Alamgir, “When I had acted under his direction a long time ago, I had little idea about the entire film industry that time. But when I recall the past, what I can realize now he was already an extraordinary director by that time. At the same time, he is a great actor and he stands out as a wonderful director from many others.”

To note, ‘Ekti Cinemar Galpo’ has been produced under the banner of Icon Entertainment. l
