Eastern University Mooting Team became the champion in the 2nd Bangladesh national round of the 59th Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2018 and qualified for the international round in Washington DC, USA. Some 25 public and private universities participated in the competition, which was held at Independent University Bangladesh on February 10, says a press release.
Eastern University defeated BRAC University in the finale to win the competition, which is known as the World Cup of Moot. The winning team members, including Wardi Zaman, Muhammad Naimur Rahman, Suborna Das and Jubaida Sakin were mentored by ABM Imdadul Haque Khan, assistant professor, Department of Law. AsianSIL Bangladesh in collaboration with ILSA (International Law Students Association) organised the event.
