Samina to perform at CCCL on her birthday today

Today is the birthday of National Film Award winning popular singer Samina Chowdhury. In her long successful career, she is going to experience a much different birthday celebration today. Usually, she called off all her professional activities on the occasion of her birthday, because she spends the day with her mother, children and husband. But this time, bringing a huge change in her special day routine, Samina will perform in a programme tonight at 8:30pm at Cadet College Club Limited (CCCL) in the city’s Gulshan area.
Major (Retd) Imroze Ahmed, Secretary General of CCCL, said about the event, “This is for the third time, we got the opportunity to bring Samina Chowdhury to our club. Today is her birthday and we have planned to make the day special for her. I hope that we will celebrate the day giving her due honour.”
Samina Chowdhury told, “I always cook all special menus for my mother, children and husband on my birthday. But I am not doing anything this time, as I am going to perform at Cadet College Club tonight. I have a plan to take my family members to the show.’
Samina’s last album titled ‘Ekta Bondhu Chai’ was released under the banner of Laser Vision. Eminent singer Raghab Chattopadhyay from West Bengal also sang with her in the album. All 12 tracks of the album were written by Zulfikar Rasel.
On the other hand, Samina Chowdhury acted in a tele-drama titled ‘Midnight Black Coffee’ for the first time. She said about the tele-drama, “It’s a thriller story based tele-drama. I have played a thrilling role with anger and love. Iam grateful to Shahidul Alam Sachchu and Toukir Ahmed for their immense support, they helped me to portray my role properly.”
Samina’s tele-drama will be aired on NTV during coming Eid.
