The sixth edition of the popular musical reality show ‘Channel i Shera Kontho’ has announced young singers Sumona and Oyshi as the champions jointly. In a scintillating grand finale at Bangkok’s Chatrium Hotel on Sunday, Sumona and Oyshi were crowned champions, leaving behind the first runner-up Trisha and second runner-up Nannu.

Both the champion contestants received the prize money worth five lakh taka, while first runner-up got the prize money worth three lakh taka and the second runner-up of the competition given two lakh taka as the prize money. The winners will also get the chance to release an album under the banner of Impress Audio Vision.   

The prizes were handed over to the winners by Impress Telefilm and Channel i managing director Faridur Reza Sagor, head of news of Channel i Shykh Seraj, Globe Pharma chairman Harun-ur Rashid, Channel i directors Abdur Rashid Mazumdar, Jahiruddin Mahmud Mamun and Robiul Islam. Judges of the competition Mitali Mukherjee, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Samina Chowdhury and Kumar Biswajit were also present at the grand finale.

However, the seven finalists include Adiba, Fatema, Tarik, Anisa, Tinni, Moumita, Dola and Apel. Popular singer Imran and Konal also performed at the event.

The grand finale was anchored by model-host Maria Noor.
