Dhruba scores a hit with music station

Dhruba Music Station, one of the leading audio companies in Bangladesh, is going to celebrate its first anniversary very soon.

The company’s pioneer and noted singer, Dhruba Guha, who celebrate his birthday today, said Dhruba Music Station has achieved tremendous success in very little time by releasing good quality songs of many promising artistes.

Speaking to DhakaLive, Guha said he wanted to enrich the music world by giving more opportunities to new talent.

This is why he has decided against bringing out an album of seven or eight of his original songs under his company’s banner. “As an artiste, I will keep my songs for myself for the time being to ensure that new artistes get the platform to showcase their music,” he said.

“I solely wish that era after era, Dhruba Music Station would live on in the hearts of the people of Bangladesh and music lovers. The artistes introduced to the music world by Dhruba Music Station will keep the company alive and ensure that the whole world will honour Bangla music,” he added.

Guha said as music videos were the current trend, he was planning to soon release one such album comprising his original songs. The lyrics are by Ahmed Rizvi, Prince Rubel and Tarun Munshi, and set to music by Tarik Al Islam and Tarun Munshi.

Some of the songs, including “Shudhu tomar jonno”, “Je pakhi ghor bojhena”, “Ekla pakhi” and “Adorey rakhiyo bondhu”, have already become hits among music lovers in the country.

Regarding his birthday, Guha said, “First, I want to thank God and my parents. It is because of them that I am seeing the world. I seek the blessings of everyone so that I can execute my responsibility of providing good music to them all the time.”
