Chittagong Abahani, who have been leading the points table up to 17 rounds and seemingly they were heading to taste the title for the first time of the Professional Football League, they have been playing since the first edition.

However, this season they had huge prospect to make sensation with winning the title after winning the runners-up trophy of the previous edition, as they formed a formidable team with a bunch of national booters and also roping in a number of good foreign players.
