Today is the birthday of popular singer Fahmida Nabi.
DhakaLive has news that the celebrated singer will be celebrating the occasion with her family members. Fahmida Nabi shared that every year her family members greet her with flowers and they celebrate her birthday by cutting a cake and this year won’t be an exception.
Fahmida Nabi said, “On my birthday, I just want to seek blessings from everyone that may Allah grant me health and happiness, so that I can render good songs until my death. I believe I will live through my songs. That’s why I want to sing with my heart.”
The singer has recently released an album featuring students from her music school, Voice Grooming School. Eleven of her students lent vocal to the album, while Nabi also rendered a song for the album.
On the other hand, Fahmida Nabi has recently lent her vocal to the title song of an upcoming mixed album. Tune and music arrangement of the album has been done by Muhin, which will be released on the occasion of the coming Valentine’s Day.
In 1989, Nabi’s maiden solo album ‘Tumi Tulonahina’ hit the market under the banner of ‘Sur Sourav’. After that, came ‘Money Ki Porena’, ‘Dupurer Ekela Pakhi’, ‘Chartey Dewal Hathyat Kheyal’, ‘Icchey Hoy’.
The singer made to her first playback song in film ‘Durdesh’. She lent her voice to ‘Bhaiti Amar Tumi Kedona’ in that movie. So far, she has sung in more than 20 films.
She also released a Rabindra Sangeet album ‘Amar Belaje Jai’.
